The English Future Foundation is now collecting nominations for the 2026 Boston Nursing and Caregiving Awards.
Nurses and caregivers are there for us during some of the most vulnerable moments of our lives. They care for us and the people we love when we are sick, frightened, in pain, or simply in need of another human being. Their skill matters enormously. So does their kindness. Yet too often, this extraordinary care goes unrecognized.
These awards will honor five nurses or caregivers from Greater Boston who are known for going beyond what is expected to care for their patients with exceptional kindness, compassion, and love. Each of the five awardees will receive a $5,000 cash award.
Do you know a nurse or caregiver who made someone feel truly cared for? You can nominate them here. The judging panel costs of Rachel English, Rebecca Love, Sue Brady Hartigan, Melody Mendez and Shannon Pastuszak.
The winners will be announced at The Newbury Cup on Thursday, November 19th from 3-5pm at the Newbury Hotel in Boston.
These nursing and caregiver awards were created to honor Maxima Martinez English, a nurse whose life has always embodied the kindness and compassion these awards celebrate.
